Carnival Corporation to Set Up a Centralized North American Headquarters in Miami
The world’s largest cruise shipowner Carnival Corporation has announced plans to consolidate its North American shoreside operations into a new headquarters located in Miami’s Waterford Business District. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the multi-building campus will span between 600,000 and 700,000 square feet and accommodate over 2,000 employees. This initiative marks the first time the company will house the majority of its North American staff—including personnel from CCL-Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, HAL-Holland America Line, Seabourn, Cunard, and Costa Cruises—within a single facility.
The new headquarters will feature versatile workspaces designed to support collaboration and innovation, as well as an onboard entertainment training and rehearsal facility. Carnival Corporation’s CEO, Josh Weinstein, indicated that the consolidation aims to enhance knowledge sharing, efficiency, and career development among team members.
The selection of Miami (FL USA) for the new headquarters reinforces the company’s longstanding commitment to the region, where it has maintained operations for over 5 decades. The Waterford Business District, situated just south of Miami International Airport, offers strategic advantages for the cruise industry, including proximity to key transportation hubs and a robust local workforce.
While the new campus will centralize most North American operations, Carnival Corporation will maintain a presence in Seattle to support HAL’s Alaskan operations.
