CroisiEurope reveals Amazon journeys for 2027 aboard the Brasilian Dream ship.

CroisiEurope, Europe’s largest river cruise company, has disclosed preliminary details of its forthcoming Amazon River cruises scheduled to begin in 2027.

The sailings will be conducted aboard the ship MV Brasilian Dream, a newbuild luxury vessel designed for eco-tourism in the Amazon Basin.

MV Brasilian Dream will navigate a network of South America’s principal waterways, including the Amazon River itself, the Rio Negro, the Solimões, the Arapiuns, and the Tapajós, extending as far as the Colombian border. The program will offer three 11-day itineraries: a round trip from Manaus encompassing the Amazon and Rio Negro; a voyage between Manaus and Santarém covering the Amazon and Rio Tapajós; and a route from Manaus to Tabatinga, providing a cross-border experience between Brazil and Colombia.

Each itinerary will include access to national parks and protected zones, wildlife observation activities conducted on foot, by dinghy, or in traditional dugout canoes, as well as encounters with indigenous populations. Other excursions will involve nocturnal expeditions, visits to riverside villages—many built on stilts—along with opportunities to explore Amazonian crafts, flora, and local produce. The onboard program will be supplemented by expert-led lectures.

RV Brasilian Dream is designed to accommodate 32 passengers in 16 suites, each fitted with private balconies. Two presidential suites will be constructed in an elevated position, offering panoramic views over the river. The 4-deck vessel will incorporate locally inspired interior elements, including Amazonian art, timber finishes, and vivid color palettes. Facilities will include a gourmet restaurant featuring Brazilian cuisine, a spa, fitness room, sundeck, and a conference area.

In alignment with CroisiEurope’s environmental strategy, the vessel will be equipped with high-efficiency engines compliant with the most stringent ecological regulations, an advanced wastewater treatment system, and solar panels enabling battery-powered operations during nighttime hours. Aboard the ship, sustainable practices will be observed, while ashore, the operator aims to promote respectful tourism through community engagement, knowledge exchange, and support for local environmental and cultural initiatives.

CroisiEurope intends for passengers to depart with a deeper understanding of the region and a sense of stewardship for the Amazon. Additional information, including sailing dates, pricing, and the opening of bookings, is expected in early July 2025.
