Norwegian Announces 35 Additional Cruise Cancellations for 2025-26 – Cruise Industry News

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced additional changes to its deployment plans for the 2025-26 season, with an additional 35 cruises onboard four ships being cancelled.

According to a statement sent to travel advisors on Friday afternoon, the sailings were scheduled to take place onboard the Norwegian Bliss, the Norwegian Breakaway, the Norwegian Encore and the Norwegian Joy.

Cancelled sailings include nine cruises to the Panama Canal, West Coast and the Caribbean that were scheduled to sail onboard the Norwegian Bliss on selected dates between Nov. 30, 2025, and March 3, 2026.

Ten cruises onboard the Norwegian Breakaway were also cancelled, including all sailings schedule to sail between Jan. 6 and Feb. 6, 2026.

Sailing from Port Canaveral, the vessel was scheduled to offer three- and four-night cruises to the Bahamas during the timeframe.

All cruises set to take place onboard the Norwegian Encore between Nov. 30, 2025, and Jan. 16, 2026, were also cancelled.

Sailing from Miami and Los Angeles, the ship was scheduled to offer a series of itineraries to the Panama Canal, the West Coast and the Caribbean.

Norwegian also cancelled nine cruises onboard the Norwegian Joy that were set to depart between Nov. 29, 2025, and April 11, 2026.

Affected itineraries were scheduled to sail from Port Canaveral to the Caribbean, visiting destinations such as Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and Tortola.

According to Norwegian, passengers on the cancelled sailings will receive notification letters starting on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.

Previously, in late November, Norwegian Cruise Line had cancelled over 50 cruises onboard the Norwegian Jewel, the Norwegian Star, the Norwegian Dawn and the Norwegian Jade.

Citing fleet redeployment, the company said that affected passengers will receive full refunds, in addition to a 10 percent discount in the form of a Future Cruise Credit (FCC).

New deployment plans for the affected vessels are expected to be announced soon.
