Viking Sky Sets Sail on World Cruise – Cruise Industry News

The Viking Sky is in Fort Lauderdale today to kick off its 2024-25 world cruise. Sailing to 58 destinations in 29 countries, the 137-night itinerary sails to the South Pacific, Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa.

After departing from Port Everglades, the 930-guest ship visits destinations in the Caribbean before crossing the Panama Canal.

The itinerary then includes ports of call in Central America and the Mexican Riviera, such as Puerto Caldera and Cabo San Lucas, before arriving in Los Angeles and Hawaii.

Now sailing in the South Pacific, the Viking Sky visits French Polynesia and the Cook Islands on its way to Southeast Asia.

Among the ports of call set to be visited in this segment of the cruise are Moorea, Tahiti, Rarotonga and Australia.

The world cruise continues with destinations in the Indian Ocean and Africa, including the Maldives, Madagascar, Tanzania and Mozambique.

The Viking Sky is also scheduled to sail to Cape Verde, the Canaries, Morocco, and Iberia, with visits to Mindelo, Agadir, Tenerife and Cádiz.

After arriving in Northern Europe, Viking’s world cruise is scheduled to end in Greenwich, England, on May 6, 2024.

The cruise is also highlighted by a series of multi-day visits, with overnight stays planned for 16 destinations.

An extended version of the world cruise is also available, with the Viking Sky sailing for 179 nights and visiting additional destinations in Northern Europe and the North Atlantic.

The longer world cruise sails to 86 destinations in 38 countries before ending in New York City on June 17, 2024.

Circumnavigating the globe, the itinerary features ports of call on six continents and is highlighted by overnight stays in Cape Town, Singapore and London.

After completing the world cruise, the Viking Sky is set to embark on a series of itineraries to Northern Europe, Iceland and Greenland.
