PromoAcao to Operate 13 Theme Cruises in Brazil in 2024-25 – Cruise Industry News
After chartering the MSC Seaview for over 40 days, PromoAção Eventos is set to operate 13 theme cruises in Brazil during the 2024-25 cruise season.
Focusing on music concerts and themed activities onboard, the company launched its season in early November.
“The cruise season is always a highly anticipated moment for the entire team at PromoAção, and this year we have great expectations,” said the company’s Managing Partner Bruno Ribeiro.
Describing itself as an organizer of music festivals at sea, PromoAção is welcoming dozens of bands and artists onboard the MSC Cruises vessel.
In preparation for the concerts, the a large temporary stage was built on the pool deck on hte Seaview.
Two large cranes were used to assemble the custom-designed structure during a day-long operation at the Port of Santos.
The stage, which includes a backstage area and VIP boxes, as well as a set of lighting and special effects, is set to remain in place through late January.
“We have spent months working on how to best welcome not only the artists who will join us but especially our passengers and loyal clients,” Ribeiro added.
“We want to provide unique experiences while also reinforcing our commitment to sustainable development and the growth of the sector in Brazil, continuing to make PromoAção a reference point in the industry,” he continued.
During the 2024-25 season, PromoAção is focusing on diverse music styles, with sailings dedicated to Popular Brazilian Music (MPB), Rock n’ Roll, Sertanejo and more.
The company is also offering a New Year’s Cruise that will include a stop in Rio de Janeiro on December 31 for the Copacabana firework display.
According to Ribeiro, PromoAção aims to expand its operations for upcoming cruise seasons, bringing more prominent names from music and entertainment onboard its theme cruises.
After chartering the MSC Seaside for two sailings out of Port Canaveral in 2023, the company also plans to offer more international cruises in the future.
