Arcadia Sets Sail on P&O’s 2025 World Cruise – Cruise Industry News
P&O Cruises’ Arcadia is departing from the United Kingdom today for a 99-night world cruise that will sail to over 30 destinations around the globe.
Named “Epic World Explorer,” the itinerary sails roundtrip from Southampton and includes ports of call in the Atlantic, the Caribbean and Central America.
In addition to featuring a transit of the Panama Canal, the cruise is also scheduled to visit destinations in the South Pacific, Australia, Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean and the African Coast.
After departing from England, the Arcadia is set to visit Funchal before crossing the Atlantic on its way to the Caribbean.
The 1,968-guest ship then sails to Barbados and Curaçao before transiting the Panama Canal and arriving at the Pacific Ocean.
Before heading to Australia and New Zealand, the itinerary also includes stops in California and Hawaii, as well as Tonga and Western Samoa.
The cruise continues with visits to destinations in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Bali and Kuala Lumpur.
On its way back to England, the Arcadia is set to make visits to ports of call in the Indian Ocean and Africa, such as Saint Denis in Reunion and Walvis Bay in Namibia.
Before returning to Southampton on Apr. 13, 2025, the vessel sails to destinations in the Atlantic, including Cape Verde, the Canaries and Portugal.
Before embarking on the world cruise, the Arcadia underwent a major refurbishment at the Damen Shipyard in Rotterdam.
During the refit in November 2024, the vessel saw updates to its public areas and staterooms, in addition to updates to its dining offerings.
One of the spaces that underwent major work was the Neptune Pool, which received new lounge chairs, sofas, tables and armchairs.
As one of P&O’s adults-only cruise ships, the Arcadia was built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and entered service in April 2005.
