Disney Fantasy Sailings Cancelled Due to Drydock Change – Cruise Industry News
Disney Cruise Line is cancelling several sailings onboard the Disney Fantasy due to a change in the ship’s drydock dates.
According to a statement sent to booked guests the cruises scheduled to depart between Oct. 20 and Nov. 12, 2025 are no longer going ahead.
“Our Disney Cruise Line ships undergo a drydock every few years for needed maintenance and refurbishment,” the company said.
“Due to an unplanned change in the scheduled drydock dates for the Disney Fantasy, your sailing is no longer available,” Disney continued.
Affected departures include a trans-Atlantic crossing that was scheduled to depart from Southampton on Oct. 20, 2025. The 13-night repositioning cruise was set to end in Port Canaveral.
Other cancelled sailings include three short cruises to the Bahamas that were set to depart from Port Canaveral on Nov. 2, Nov. 7 and Nov. 12, 2025.
Any funds applied towards the reservations will be refunded to their original forms of payment, Disney told guests.
“We sincerely apologize for any disappointment it may cause and welcome the opportunity to assist you in rescheduling your sailing around the same timeframe,” the company added.
In addition to the refund, passengers are being offered a 20 percent future cruise discount on their voyage fare.
To use the discount, guests are asked to reference the reservation number of their cancelled sailing when booking a new cruise departing prior to Feb. 6, 2027.
The company also noted that the Disney Fantasy is set to offer a revised trans-Atlantic crossing at a different date. Additional details of the 13-night repositioning voyage will be available in February.
Alternative sailings to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale are currently available, as well as cruises from Southampton, Disney added.
“We truly appreciate your understanding regarding this necessary cancellation and hope that you will sail with us again soon,” the company said.
