Seascape to Open MSC’s New Cruise Terminal in Miami – Cruise Industry News

The MSC Seascape is scheduled to open MSC Cruises’ new cruise terminal in PortMiami this Saturday.

According to the letter, which was sent to guests onboard, the vessel will be the first to dock at the new Terminal AA facility.

“We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! When your cruise ends, you’ll be one of the first guests to experience our brand-new, state-of-the-art PortMiami Terminal,” MSC Cruises said.

According to the company, the facility will “not only be the world’s most technologically advanced cruise terminal, but also the largest.”

Sailing from Miami on a year-round basis, the MSC Seascape is currently offering a seven-night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas.

Before visiting Puerto Plata, Ocean Cay and San Juan, the ship departed from PortMiami’s Terminal C on Feb. 1, 2025.

According to the statement, MSC will provide guests a free shuttle service from Terminal AA to the parking garage at Terminal C.

In its letter, the company also advised guests that escalators won’t be operating during the MSC Seascape call.

“As we complete the commissioning of the new cruise terminal, we apologize in advance that escalators won’t be available for tomorrow’s call,” MSC said.

Guests will be required to walk down two flights of stairs to enter the facility’s luggage hall, the company added.

Elevators will also be available for guests who are mobility-challenged and families with small children and strollers.

As a result, the company said it discourages passengers from disembarking the MSC Seascape with their luggage.

Originally announced in mid-2018, MSC’s new cruise terminal has been under construction since March 2022.

The new facility will be able to accommodate MSC Cruises’ largest and most environmentally advanced cruise ships, including the MSC World America, which is scheduled to debut in Miami this April.
