Interzum Interior Trade Show Expecting Higher Attendance from Cruise Industry – Cruise Industry News
Interzum 2025, which is taking place between May 20-23 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, said that it is anticipating stronger attendance from cruise line executives.
Held every two years, the furniture production and interior design trade fair welcomes furniture manufacturers, interior designers, architects and industry professionals to explore the latest innovations and trends.
Speaking during a presentation for the trade show’s 2025 event, Interzum Show Director Maik Fischer indicated that the trade fair is seeing a growing number of sourcing professionals attending from the ship, rail, automobile and air sectors, respectively.
“(They have) spotted Interzum as a good sourcing platform,” Fischer added. “Everyone who’s in charge of interior design: we do see (from) the cruise ship companies.”
“If you’re a cruise ship brand and you want to know what is the latest, I would say that Interzum is probably the biggest sourcing platform and the biggest platform for new materials and new products that you will find in the world,” he added.
The trade fair said in a press release that Interzum 2025 will emphasize sustainable resource management, showcasing the extension of materials’ life cycles and biobased solutions. The trade fair’s trend stage and forums will also feature expert discussions, research insights and market-ready solutions from the sector.
Fischer said the trade fair welcomed nearly 62,000 visitors from over 150 countries in 2023, and it expects to surpass this number in 2025 with an increased presence of key decision-makers.
Attracting more than 1,600 exhibitors from over 60 countries, the trade show will span nine halls of the Koelnmesse fairgrounds. Returning exhibitors include Swiss Chrono from Switzerland and Topan from Japan.
According to the trade fair, 191 of the exhibitors attending the 2025 event cater towards cruise ship interior design.
