MSC Cruises invited travel agents and partners onboard the MSC Splendida in late March to celebrate the results of its 2024-25 season in Brazil.
Over 300 invited guests were hosted onboard the vessel, which is part of the company’s six-ship lineup in South America.
According to MSC, over 665,000 guests embarked on 120 cruises from Brazilian ports during the season.
The season was highlighted by the return of the MSC Grandiosa. As the largest ship to sail in the region, the 4,888-guest vessel offered a series of seven-night cruises to Santos, Salvador, Maceió and Búzios.
The deployment also included the MSC Seaview, the MSC Splendida, the MSC Orchestra and the MSC Armonia.
The ships sailed from eight ports in South America: Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Maceió, Itajaí, Paranaguá, Buenos Aires and Montevideo.
“It is with great satisfaction that we celebrate the results we achieved during the 2024/2025 season. This period was marked by the strengthening of the partnerships we have built, as well as our market leadership in South America,” said Adrian Ursilli, MSC’s country manager in Brazil.
“We will continue to work hard to provide our guests with complete vacation experiences, whether in Brazil or at international destinations,” he added.
MSC also hosted over 60,000 Brazilian guests outside the region, with outbound customers to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East.
During the event onboard the MSC Splendida, the company also awarded 33 travel agencies for their performance in sales.
While three ships recently kicked off repositioning cruises back to Europe, the MSC Seaview is set to wrap up MSC’s season in Brazil in late April.
Two other ships, the MSC Poesia and the MSC Grandiosa, are set to embark on trans-Atlantic crossings in early April.
MSC is deploying five ships in South America for the 2025-26 season. Starting in October, the MSC Seaview, the MSC Preziosa, the MSC Fantasia, the MSC Lirica and the MSC Armonia return to the region for a series of three- to eight-night itineraries.
