American Cruise Lines Doubles Capacity in Alaska for 2025 – Cruise Industry News
American Cruise Lines is doubling its capacity in Alaska in 2025, the company announced in a press release.
With the American Constitution joining the American Constellation, American is said to be poised to offer its largest season ever in the region.
According to the company, the two small ships will offer five itineraries in Alaska between May and September 2025.
The 170-guest vessels will deliver “once-in-a-lifetime experiences,” American said, offering a “unique way to explore this bucket-list region.”
Repositioning to the West Coast, the American Constitution joins its sister ship, the American Constellation, for summer cruises in Alaska, as well as spring and fall cruises in the Puget Sound.
The itineraries include two new Alaska National Parks cruises, featuring a seven-day land exploration in Denali and Kenai Fjords National Parks.
The deployment also includes 12- and nine-day cruises between Fairbanks and Juneau, as well as special small-ship access in Glacier Bay National Park.
Other ports of call set to be visited during the season include Haines, Petersburg, Wrangell, Sitka and Tracy Arm.
All departures offer included pre-cruise stays, as well as a range of experiences featuring up-close views of Alaskan glaciers and wildlife.
According to American, its cruises also enjoy small-ship access to Glacier Bay National Park, with some sailings also including a rare overnight in the world-renowned preservation area.
Some itineraries also offer scenic cruising in the Inside Passage, Frederick Sound, the Wrangell Narrows and more.
The vessels are also set to offer 16-day repositioning cruises between Juneau and Seattle in May and September.
American’s U.S.-built ships are fully stabilized and offer private balcony accommodations, the company said, in addition to onboard amenities that include top-deck lounges and alternate casual dining venues.
The offering is notable, American said, as it blends small-ship expedition access with large-ship luxury and comfort onboard.
