CCOM Global Technologies Adopts Pimloc’s Software for Enhanced Compliance – Cruise Industry News
CCOM Global Technologies has implemented Pimloc’s Secure Redact platform to enhance privacy compliance in cruise ship surveillance solutions.
The software helps safeguard the privacy of individuals captured in surveillance footage shared with third parties or in legal proceedings.
Pimloc’s software uses AI to automatically blur sensitive data such as faces in recorded and live security footage, enabling the anonymization of video data while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
The platform processes footage significantly faster than traditional methods, enabling cruise operators to address privacy concerns while maintaining effective security protocols.
“When we are looking at security challenges, we have thousands of people that we need to keep safe and secure, maintaining their well-being,” said Daniel Ginat, director of technology at CCOM Global Technologies. “It’s a small town, or a Vegas scale of hotel, with hundreds and hundreds of CCTV cameras. Privacy, as well as security, is key, and Secure Redact helps us to deal with security issues for our clients, while effectively keeping bystanders and other innocents out of the picture.”
“From the start, we felt like the team at Pimloc was very knowledgeable of the system,” added Ginat. “They could show us exactly all of the features and how to use them. This level of expertise, combined with the platform’s capabilities, made Secure Redact the clear choice for us to partner with.”
Secure Redact automatically processes CCTV footage uploaded from CCOM Global Technologies by analyzing each frame to detect faces using machine learning. Detected faces are marked with orange boxes visible only to CCOM operatives for review. Once approved, the software blurs the identified faces to create a final redacted video, which is then ready for export and delivery to the client.
“We’re delighted to be helping CCOM Global Technologies maintain privacy during cruise ship video surveillance,” said Pimloc CEO Simon Randall. “Secure Redact meets international data privacy compliance requirements when dealing with personal data in images and video files, and it is the fastest solution on the market. We’re enabling cruise ships to supply video clips externally as needed – to employees, customers, or even corporate insurance companies, law enforcement and lawyers – all while staying compliant with data privacy laws and regulations.”
