Celebrity Cancels Cruises Due to Drydock Schedule Adjustment – Cruise Industry News

Celebrity Cruises is cancelling two departures onboard the Celebrity Solstice due to an adjustment of the ship’s drydock schedule.

According to statements sent to booked guests, the sailings previously scheduled to take place on Jan. 15 and Jan. 27, 2026, are no longer taking place.

“We have discovered that Celebrity Solstice requires additional servicing beyond planned repairs and maintenance, which extends her currently scheduled drydock period,” Celebrity Cruises said.

“To ensure that we meet our high standards, and due to the availability at the shipyard, we must advance the drydock schedule,” the company said, noting that this change led to the cruise cancellations.

“We understand this is not an ideal situation, and we apologize for the impact this has on your plans,” Celebrity added.

Spending the 2025-26 winter season in Southeast Asia and the Far East, the Solstice was scheduled to offer a 12-night cruise from Singapore on Jan. 15, 2026.

Sailing to Hong Kong, the open-jaw itinerary featured visits to destinations in Thailand and Vietnam, including Laem Chabang and Nha Trang.

The cruise previously set to depart on Jan. 27, 2026, had a similar itinerary and was scheduled to sail from Hong Kong to Singapore.

Affected guests are being offered three options, including requesting a full refund for the cruise fare and any pre-paid amenities.

Passengers can also opt to reebok at select sailings of Celebrity Solstice’s winter scheduled in Southeast Asia and the Far East.

Three sailings are available, including the cruises set to depart from Singapore or Hong Kong on Jan. 3, Mar. 2 and Mar. 14, 2026.

According to Celebrity, original stateroom category prices will either be protected at the original cruise fare or reduced to the current cruise fare rate, depending on whichever is lower.

Guests who choose this option will receive onboard credit of $200 per stateroom for Aqua Class cabins and below or $400 per stateroom for suites.

Celebrity is also waiving any non-refundable deposit change fees for guests who prefer to re-book another sailing.

These passengers will also receive onboard credit but will be responsible for any difference in pricing for their cruise fare, taxes, fees, gratuities and other non-cruise fare items, the company said.
