Cunard to Visit Travel Agents for February Sales Blitz – Cruise Industry News
Cunard has announced its plans to reach over 250 travel agents across more than 60 stores as part of its first nationwide 2025 sales blitz in the UK.
The company said in a press release that from Feb 17 to 28, a team will deliver in-person news about the line’s promotion for select 2025 voyages, launching on Feb. 19, 2025.
The team will be led by Tom Mahoney, director of UK sales, and supported by Business Manager John Garbutt and Regional Sales Managers Savannah Fryer and James Atherton.
According to the press release, the team will showcase Cunard’s Asset Bank library and points-based loyalty scheme Shine Rewards Club. They will also discuss plans for Cunard’s return to Liverpool with the Queen Anne arriving May 26.
The blitz will include visits to Sovereign Cruise Club in Reading, Panache Cruises in Chorley and Gold Medal Travel in Leyland.
Mahoney said: “As we evolve the way we communicate the Cunard difference, it is key that our travel agent partners can effectively sell Cunard as an iconic luxury brand without compromise.”
“We are as committed as ever to working together to create unforgettable experiences for our mutual customers, and these visits are a brilliant opportunity for the Cunard team to learn more about our travel agent partners while providing key brand direction and enhancing our relationships,” he added.
The company also announced that to celebrate its partnership with Michelin-starred chef Nathan Outlaw, Cunard is giving 10 agents a chance to attend a masterclass with the restauranteur. The event will be hosted on March 12 at the luxury Chewton Glen country hotel in Hampshire.
In addition, Cunard is inviting 17 travel agent partners to attend the West End show Pride & Prejudice performed aboard the Queen Anne’s maiden season in London and Glasgow. The London show will take place at Richmond Theatre on February 26, with the Glasgow edition scheduled for Theatre Royal Glasgow on March 6.
According to the company, winners will be notified from February 10.
