P&O Australia Reveals Details of Ships Transition to Carnival Fleet – Cruise Industry News
A dedicated page on P&O Australia Cruises’ website has revealed more details of the transition of the Pacific Adventure and the Pacific Encounter to Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet.
The previously announced fleet change is part of Carnival Corporation’s plan to consolidate its operations in Australia and is set to take place in March 2025.
According to P&O Australia, the two ships will continue to offer the same standard of service and quality currently available onboard, in addition to a series of new features.
After the transition, passengers embarking on the Adventure and the Encounter will be able to take advantage of Carnival’s VIFP loyalty program, the company said.
The vessels will also use Carnival’s HUB App, which allows guests to check in online, plan ahead, make dinner reservations and purchase services.
In line with other ships in the fleet, the vessels will have their own Fun Squad to host comedy shows, trivia, high-energy deck parties, games and more.
Other Carnival favorites debuting onboard the Adventure and the Encounter include a free, unlimited pizza service, as well as activities like Build-A-Bear workshops, the Conga for Kids fundraising line dance party, and the electrifying 80s Rock ‘n’ Glow nights.
While the onboard F&B offering is set to be tweaked, P&O’s trademark restaurants will remain operating, including options like Waterfront, Luke’s Bar & Grill, Angelo’s and Dragon Lady.
When the ships join Carnival Cruise Line, the names of stateroom categories will be changed to bring them in line with the rest of the company’s fleet.
P&O’s Byron Beach Club exclusive suite area will still be available onboard.
The onboard currency will also remain unchanged, with services and shops accepting Australian dollars like other Australian-based Carnival ships.
Before the transition in March, cruise bookings will continue to be taken through P&O Australia’s website.
