Six Cruise Ships Propel Record Day at Port Canaveral – Cruise Industry News

Six cruise ships underscored a record day for deep-sea vessels docking at Port Canaveral on January 25, as the port hosted some 25 ships.

The day included six cruise ships from five different cruise lines, as well as six cargo vessels, eight space vessels, a gambling ship, and four bunker barges.

The cruise ships included the Mardi Gras and Carnival Vista from Carnival Cruise Line, the Disney Treasure, Norwegian Epic, and representing Royal Caribbean Group: the Voyager of the Seas and Celebrity Equinox.

Itinerary Breakdown:

The Celebrity Equinox is calling Port Canaveral home for its seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. The itinerary includes stops in Key West, Florida; Puerto Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Nassau, Bahamas, with two days at sea.

The Voyager of the Seas departs later on Saturday for a five-night Eastern Caribbean and Perfect Day.

The Mardi Gras offers a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise with port calls at Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos, Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, and Nassau, Bahamas.

The Carnival Vista sails eight nights from Port Canaveral, heading to the Southern Caribbean with calls in Aruba and Bonaire, as well as Grand Turk.

The Disney Treasure is scheduled for a week-long Western Caribbean cruise with calls booked at Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; Falmouth, Jamaica; and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay in the Bahamas, in addition to two sea days.

Norwegian’s 2010-built Epic offers a seven-night cruise with two sea days. Calls are scheduled at Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island.
