Sutton Foster Performs Aboard Queen Anne During Miami Call – Cruise Industry News
Cunard has announced in a press release that they celebrated the Queen Anne’s arrival in Miami for her maiden call.
Two-time Tony Award-winner Sutton Foster performed aboard to mark the occasion in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre.
“It was a true honor to perform on board the Queen Anne during her first visit to Miami,” said Foster.
“We were incredibly proud to be in Miami today to celebrate our new ship, the Queen Anne, during her North America debut,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard.
The company said that the day marked a milestone as Cunard is building towards welcoming the Queen Elizabeth to Miami, with voyages to the Caribbean starting on Oct. 16, 2025.
According to Cunard, it will be the first time in Cunard’s 185-year history that one of the fleet’s ships will spend an entire season in Miami.
Foster will also headline a voyage engagement during the Queen Elizabeth’s Caribbean season, which will feature additional Broadway performers. Foster’s Queen Elizabeth voyage will be announced in due course.
“I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to sail and perform on board the Queen Elizabeth during the ship’s first Caribbean season. It’s gratifying to see Cunard’s dedication to the performing arts, bringing their guests truly special entertainment experiences, and I’m delighted to have asked to be a part of that,” added Foster.
The Queen Elizabeth will undergo a refit from Feb. 25 to March 13, 2025, in Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore, preparing for a new season on Oct 16, 2025.
The refit will revitalize spaces such as the Commodore Club, Queens Room, Panorama Pool Club, Garden Lounge and The Pavilion.
The Caribbean season will begin with a 12-night roundtrip sailing from Miami, visiting Garrison and Castries, St Lucia.
Her roundtrip voyages offer itineraries ranging from nine to 28 nights. Destinations include Montego Bay in Jamaica, San Juan in Puerto Rico and St John’s in Antigua.
The company will introduce The Pavilion wellness café to the Queen Elizabeth, as well as the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea program, which was first seen on the Queen Anne.
The company will also announce a new celebrity chef relationship created for the Queen Elizabeth’s Caribbean season.
